Remaining D&D Co-Creator died on Tuesday

Gary Gygax (who passed away last year) was probably best known as founding father of table top role playing. But last week his partner in crime Dave Arneson also kicked the bucket, at the age of 61.

Although Gygax was responsible for the fantasy element, Arneson introduced the individual player character to the mix of what was initially a table top WAR game. So his contribution was an essential one. It wasn't until a lawsuit in 1979 that he was officially recognised as co-creator. Gygax also died in his sixties, it's a shame that both were taken from us so early.

May the great wizard in the sky watch over them.
